Still Telling the Story of Jesus Since 1842

First Baptist Church was established in 1842 and the church is located on Main Street in historic Jonesborough,  the oldest town in Tennessee.  Joel Cook is the current pastor and has served at FBC since 2002. By the church's very design and location we are a relatively small church, but we offer a warm and welcoming environment in a big way for all who come through our doors. At FBC you can find renewed hope and strength through worship,  fellowship, and a Christ-centered message.  You are cordially invited to join us and learn for yourself what a joy it is to worship in a beautiful historic setting, lifting up the name of Jesus in a traditional Southern Baptist worship service.
